Hi! I'm Kayla

photographer, storyteller, and the eye behind Kaysta on Camera.

Based in Fort Worth, Texas, I specialize in lifestyle photography, with a style that captures the soul of the land and the beauty in everyday moments – think grit, glam, and just the right amount of fringe.

Photography has been woven into my life since I was a kid. Growing up, I would ask for a different camera almost every Christmas. I joined the yearbook staff in junior high and went on to study journalism in college, where I learned how to tell real stories through honest, intentional imagery. That foundation in photojournalism taught me one thing: real moments always matter more than perfect ones.

By day, I work in emergency management. Photography is my release; my way to unwind, create, and reconnect. It’s where structure meets soul. It’s the land, the people, and the kind of quiet beauty that doesn’t need to shout to be seen.

I’m inspired by open roads, old souls, desert hues, and ’70s nostalgia. If it feels real, rugged, and a little untamed, I’m probably chasing it, the kind of moments that don’t beg for attention but demand to be remembered.
